[Episode 06] I Think a Light is Shining Over Your Head "Anata no Zujou ni Hikari ga Kagayaku Deshou"
All 4 apartment tenants are practicing for a musical which will be held during a community festival. Yūno is recruited but it turns out that she's tone deaf and she has Shinkurō practice with her. Yamie gets Yayoi to help her with her singing as well.
[Thoughts] A musical episode! More and more this anime makes me happy in many ways. I loved the expression on the characters faces and the movement they made while singing, incrediable indeed.

[Episode 05] Wish "Nozomi"
Murasaki and Shinkurō go to the Hōzuki household for Shinkurō to train with Yūno Hōzuki. Murasaki interacts with Yūno's little sister. In this episode you also find out there is more to the Hozuki house as well as Yuno who is shown to be a very competent martial artist.
| 1 | Murasaki and Kurenai go to spend the day at Yno's house. Kurenai went to practice with Yno. Murasaki meets Yno's little sister Chizuru and plays DS with her (which Murasaki breaks) then play with a doll (that Murasaki brakes also).
| 2 | We learn that Yno's family are the ones who put a sword in his arm because he was seeking strength. Kurenai and Murasaki leave. They stop to shop before going home and Murasaki apologieses for breaking Chizuru's DS and when Kurenai says he'll buy her a new one, she feels happy and ask for a one herself.
| 3 | We are back home and we meet Yamie and Tamaki sitting in Kurenai's room eating. The four eat and drink while Tamaki teases Kurenai about Yno. Yamie tries to stop her because she uses adult terms infront of Murasaki but that doesn't stop her.
[Thoughts] Nothing much happened this episode. I enjoyed Murasaki and Chizuru's scenes. They were so adorable togather. I loved Murasaki's tone when she said "Hoshi!" for having a DS. XD

[Episode 04] Clever One "Saibutsu"
After the incident at the yakuza's office, Yayoi demands to know why Shinkurō is given the job of protecting Murasaki. Shinkurō's background comes to light as well as the reason why Benika helped Murasaki escape.
| 1 | Murasaki follows Kurenai. Kurenai gets his deal done. Murasaki comes to him and tells him that the one who promiced him well is lying. Kurenai drags her out with him. They open the elavator and a guy attacks Kurenai. Murasaki jumps on the guy so he pushes her. Another bad guy comes to help and he hit Murasaki so hard that she faints. Kurenai gets mad and destroys them. We discover that what comes out from his elbow is not a bone but a sword!?
| 2 | Yayoi & Benika arrive at the last minute and take Kurenai and Murasaki. Yayoi scold Kurenai while Benika tries to calm her down. They drop Kurenai and Murasaki then leave.
| 3 | Yayoi confronts Benika and tries to tell her that anyone would be better than Kurenai in protecting Murasaki. Benika tells her that she feels that this is the best thing. Yayoi is not convinced and continues to watch Murasaki.
| 4 | Murasaki wakes up feeling guilty for leaving the apartment and breaking her promice with Kurenai. Kureani assures her that he is not mad. Later he leaves to school.
| 5 | Murasaki cleans the apartment with Tamaki and goes with Kureani to the bath house when he returns.
| 6 | On their way back, Kurenai tells Murasaki about his past. He was taken away from his family and dosen't remember anything. He didn't fear death and when Benika rescued him from bad guys, he decided to be strong like her. He learnd to fight with Yno and lived with her family for a while.
| 7 | Benika tells Yayoi that she was a friend of Muraski's mother. She was told by her to take Murasaki away and to let her live a better life, fall in love and be more happy. Benika then says that because Kurenai is similar to Murasaki, living togather would help them both. This time Yayoi understands but she insists on watching over the two anyway.
[Thoughts] I must say I was pleased when I sensed a hope for a Kurenai and Murasaki love relationship. I know she is young but the difference in age is not that high. Anyway, I'm glad Murasaki didn't get to see Kurenai's sword. I hope that she will not freak out when she does in the future..

[Episode 03] Face of an Imposter "Nisemono no Kao"
Murasaki appears at Shinkuro's school and wanders around investigating life with the students and its culture.
[Hightlights] Yno's family seems to be involved with Murasaki's. | Murasaki dislikes Yno. | Murasaki can be very brave. | Kurenai can be passive. | Murasaki follows Kurenai at night. You can predict that she will see him in action on the next episode.
[Thoughts] Murasaki running around school is the funniest thing ever. She doens't really know much and it's a joy watching her discovering things. Running with runners, calling baseball players servants for wearing white, thinking that a scientific human toy thingie is a person injured. XD
When three nasty students took an old lady's seat, why didn't anyone offer her a seat? If fighting them will not work, then help the old lady. D:

[Episode 02] With a Drain and a Stream "Mizo to Nagare to"
While Shinkurō is at school, Murasaki meets the other inhabitants of the apartment building. In the evening, Shinkurō takes Murasaki to the public bathhouse, and then buys her a new futon. After Murasaki is asleep, Shinkurō goes out on another assignment as a negotiator, and finds himself in a violent confrontation with some thugs who are threatening the owner of a local restaurant.
| 1 | Murasaki's father seems to know that Banika took his daughter. At the end we learn that Banika and Murasaki’s mother were friends.
| 2 | Young Kurenai crying and calling for his mother. Her body falls in front of him in a destroyed place, dead. Kurenai wakes up from a nightmare and grabs Murasaki's cover. He turns and covers his mouth trying not to wake her but Murasaki notices.
| 3 | In the morning, Kurenai gets ready to school. Murasaki seems to understand that he is not abandoning her by going. Kurenai gives her a phone to call him whenever she needs him and that makes her happy. Murasaki calls Kurenai even though he is standing in front of her and says "You should go to school."
| 4 | When Kurenai leaves, Murasaki keeps calling him non-stop. First, asking about food to feed Yamie's cat.
| 5 | Kurenai meets Ginko, Murasaki calls for the second time to ask him what to eat for lunch (opening cans with her hands). Then Kurenai calls but Murasaki was too busy opening cans with her hands. lol
| 6 | Murasaki befriends Yamie and Tamaki. Kurenai calls but Murasaki doesn't answer because she is in the doorway.
| 7 | Kurenai starts to worry when he calls again and Yamie answers the phone. He rushes back to find Murasaki trying to take a bath and complaining about the cold water.
| 8 | Kurenai takes Murasaki to a bath house and the owner is an old lady who first thought Kurenai was into young girls. When they are done and clean, Kurenai gets a phone call for a job and Murasaki is given a milk bottle from the old lady. Kurenai ends his call and asks Murasaki if she thanked the old lady but she says that she is a servant and there was no need to thank her. Kurenai hits Murasaki on her head for being stubborn and explains that the old lady was being kind; Murasaki realizes her mistake and apologies to the old lady.
| 9 | Kurenai and Murasaki buy a mattress on their way home. Murasaki tells him that even though he hit her, she didn’t blame him (flashback: her stepmother hitting her mother).
| 10 | At home, Murasaki thanks Kurenai for the mattress and they sleep. Late at night, Kurenai leaves Murasaki sleeping and goes out to fight (his job).
[Thoughts] The cutest thing ever was Kurenai and Murasaki calls. I didn't mention Kurenai with Ginko/Yno scenes because they were actually meaningless and boring.
Something I was shocked about! I didn't know that young girls could go into bath houses that are for men. Even if a father wanted to bring his little girl, wouldn't it be wrong for other men to see her naked. I know she is a kid but still.

[Kure-nai] (紅, Kure-nai) is a Japanese light novel series by Kentarou Katayama, with illustrations by Yamato Yamamoto. A manga adaptation started serialization in the first issue of Junmp Square magazine. An anime adaptation by Brain's Base started airing in Japan on April 3, 2008.
[Plot] Sixteen-year-old Shinkurō Kurenai, a specialist in settling squabbles between people, is one day approached by the daughter of a powerful plutocratic family asking him to be her bodyguard.
[Episode 01] Extreme Night - "Kyokuya"
After approaching Benika to request more challenging jobs so he can earn more money, Shinkurō is assigned as a bodyguard to Murasaki. The next day, Shinkurō goes to school, leaving Murasaki alone in his apartment. When he returns, she is gone, and he begins frantically searching the neighborhood. The empathy Shinkurō and Murasaki share when they are reunited is the beginning of a bond between the two.
| 1 | Shinkuro Kurenai (our hero) hitting a guy and penning him to a wall. Then Kurenai feels pain in his elbow and a bone moves out of his arm!
| 2 | Benika Juzawa, an orange haired lady takes Murasaki Kuhoin from her home. Bodygurds chase after her but Yayoi Inuzuka (works for Benika) stops them.
| 3 | Murasaki's father searches for Murasaki's mother but can'ts find her. When he asks her loyal maid, she doesn't help him so he hits her.
| 4 | A flashback to the past. Murasaki is raised by her stepmother while her mother is being treated badly by her.
| 5 | School time! Kurenai is a normal kid with two male friends who walk with him to school and back. Ginko Murakami is a childhood friend and helps Kurenai with getting information for his part time job. She doesn't get along with Yno Hozuki because obviously they both like him.
| 6 | Kurenai goes to Banika to report about his job since she is his boss. He gets money for erands that requires him to fight at times.
| 7 | Kurenai returns to his apartment and we meet his neighbors there. Yamie & Tamaki Muto, one is gothic and the other is a pervert.
| 8 | Banika and Yayoi pay a visit to Kurenai along with Murasaki. Banika asks Kurenai to protect Murasaki and let her live with him. When he asked from who, she said she can't tell him now. He hesitates but when he sees tears in the kid's eyes, he accepts the job.
| 9 | Murasaki is alone with Kurenai and asks him where the bed room is? Then she asks about kitchen and other many rooms and he answers them all by saying "here". Murasaki thinks he is teasing her but then realizes that he is not. She starts taking her kimono off and when Kurenai asked if she prefared him leaving, she said: "You'll have to handle my kimono so you must stay." XD
| 10 | At night, Murasaki stays awake in the dark and Kurenai assures her that she's safe with him. Then she falls asleep.
| 11 | Kurenai wakes up to go to school and Murasaki tells him not to. Kurenai replies that Banika said this place is safe and she can wait for him in his room until he comes back (watch tv and chill). Murasaki gets upset but he leaves her.
| 12 | At school, Kurenai asks Ginko for information about Murasaki's family.
| 13 | Kurenai returns home and Murasaki is no where to be found! He discovers that even Banika has no idea where she went. Yayoi (was watching over Murasaki from a distance) calls Banika and tells her that the girl is safe. Kurenai finds Murasaki with her bag crying alone. He apologises for leaving her by herself and hugs her.
[Thoughts] I actually watched from episode 1-6 today. I discovered this anime yesterday and I'm sure many have blogged it already but I just couldn't help myself. This is my favorite anime this season! I know Code Geass 2 is brilliant but I will vote for this one, sorry Lelouch.
You've got to admit that the relationship Kurenai x Murasaki share is adorable. I'm still confused when it comes to Murasaki's father and his way of treating his wives. Hopefully I'll get that worked out as the anime progresses.
